- Spent a few hours to get a working demo of a simple sprite of Ned walking around (he’s the only character design I have fully conceptualized). This was pretty straightforward after doing the tutorials yesterday.
- Used this tutorial to change Godot render settings to be pixel perfect
- Had to rearrange all the gif frames I had made of Ned earlier into one sprite sheet. tedious.
- Figured out all the proper Godot scripting to have him walking around with arrow keys– diagonals included of course!
EDIT (2021-12-20): I spent a long time editing animations that I made in aseprite to manually make a spritesheet. But you can simply export animations in aseprite as a spritesheet! See this video before spending more time on sprites!
